8th January, 2010. In the world's first ever online survey, the Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Eekonomy revealed "landslide support for Internet censorship in Australia," according to DBCDE minister, Stephen Control.
In an intensive four day session, top mathematicians at the DBCDE analysed the data from over 550 respondents, and found almost unanimous support for the DBCDE's proposed censorship, once self-confessed antisocial individuals were removed from the data. Furthermore, of those opposed, 36% listed themselves as "child haters", 35% as "criminals" and 26% as "perverts."
"This unequivocally proves what we have always said - that those against censorship are criminals or perverts, or simply don't care about children," Mr Control said.
Mr Control explained that the survey have been built with cutting edge Australian technology at a cost of less than $AU 5 million. "This represents enormous value in the fight against Unwanted Material," Mr Control said. "Our best experts have indicated that the survey results are 100% accurate," he added.
The survey results can be found on the DBCDE's filtering website at http://nationalfilter.net.au/.
